FEMME, v.
A portrait and interview project centering femme lesbians, reclaiming femininity as a deeply queer, self-determined identity
Created in collaboration with fellow photographer Maggie McLemore and producer Selin Ceren Uzman.
Through portraits and interviews, this project amplifies the voices of femme lesbians, challenging the historical association of lesbian identity with masculinity. It explores how femininity is reclaimed outside the male gaze, affirming femme identity as queer, intentional, and deserving of visibility.
